* Above average castle design

(yeah it's hard to put that in a pro column but...)

CONS

* Way too little health

* Weapon placement, at least ammo, more Dropped than Placed
(I got mine from the dead)

* Backing up will land you in a Lava pool !!!

COMMENTS

The author calls this a small castle. The author also says that the map is for 2 to 4 people. Well, he's certainly right about the latter. However, this castle is so thoughtfully laid out that it appears anything but small. Even the block motif rings of mammoth. The rooms are so well constructed and connected that this SMALL castle seems to interlock endlessly. There does seem to be a question of texture inconsistency ... however ... that may be one of the reasons this map appears to expand at every turn. Thus, that does not go into a CON column. Although there is nothing "exceptional" about DM-Meridia as a castle map it is without question a work of perfection. It would be great on a server where it's "small" size would never be detected and it's sheer quality of assembly would impress any gamer. If you are working on a castle map, at bare minimum, accept nothing short of this quality construction -but- add some wonders, challenges and surprises for your guests. d:-)
