COMMENTS

This "graveyard" map is a delightful rendition and, if there was such a thing, deserving of a "conceptual" award. It has attributes that, without question or reservation, bring a spooky atmosphere to the entire experience. Well Done ! There are gravestones and graves UNFINISHED to be encountered. There are "ghostly" encounters of the Unexplainable with sounds to validate. Well Done ! The perimeter wall allows a joyful ease of escape and access to the entirety of the map. There is a lingering fog that permeates "most" of the graveyard and adds that "seriously" ultra-cool touch. This all being said --- the map is to DARK to appreciate MOST of it's attributes. Too bad. I had to put myself in GOD mode and summon a searchlight to survive long enough to review this map. You can point fingers at me if you want BUT I've never had to do that before. With the searchlight the fog is "precious" and I -eventually- pulled the map into the editor and under Options / Level Properties / Zonelight / AmbientBrightness set it to 20, then 12, then 10, and finally 8. Truly the DARKness placed by the author serves a functional purpose, however, at "8" the darkness to the other side of the graveyard remained and yet at this setting I could TELL what I was just about to run into was a gravestone. All that noted, the author has executed an enchantingly unique environment for an Unreal map. No map comes off Perfect analyzed by just one person; a sad truth. Still, this author has offered up something exclusive in design and has implemented supporting artifacts that set this concept into full "award winning" motion. If you can build a better graveyard ... you have a formidable task ahead of you, but add some moonlight. d:-)
