It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Right now it's almost entirely made of custom meshes and it's going to be an Egyptech DOM map with lots of curves and rounded corners. I'm stuck at the moment, though.

Looks a lot like a HD version of the Rikers though really. I would have liked it as that. You realize the introship mesh was old VR too right? It had a skin which said vortex rikers in versions 88, 98 (the so called fake version) and in some early 1998 version which have the unreali.u file from (from the emissary dev), version 99, the famous beta, didn't have that skin though, which is quite strange and would instead indeed suggest that version 99 was messed with more. It was a december 1997 beta with some content swapped in it for showcase event so it had some later content.
But it was no less fake than the so called november 1997 version which had the faked dates (but so did many other repacks).

Krull0r sent me his broken boxes meshes and I've been messing with them some. You can smash the boxes and they splinter apart but if you damage them with burned or exploded then the box and fragments catch on fire for a short time. Not sure if I'll make the fire damaging or not (it could overwhelm in a small room). Still need to work on the fragments classes, all I've really done is the wooden box itself. If anyone wants this for projects just let me know. I'm going to keep working on it adding barrels, etc. Eventually I'd like to do a complete HD mutator that combines a ton of these effects along with the HD skins from Lightning_Hunter. Don't know when that will be, I work as I'm able to but this is enjoyable to dabble in.

Nah, it's a pretty simple effect. They assume the mesh of the actor that's on fire. I still need to add some smoke and a little light so they can illuminate a dark hallway for a short time, etc. Give me a couple of weeks and I'll have something useful and polished.

can they break in multiple steps based on damage? if i hit they once a chunk comes off , if i continue more pieces come off intill they are 90% broken. also if there are contents, the item inside could spawn in them, and be attached incase they moved, you could see the item inside if the box was only slighty damaged.knida liek the boxs in the new order, or serious sam bfe

That would be visually very interesting B. I might revisit this to add more models depending on damage and do this. You could spawn a simple deco in the box middle and award it the mesh of the contents until the box is destroyed then spawn the pickup item. I like that, would be pretty cool.
Barrels are fixed now like this too. I'll get it added onto my server this weekend if anyone wants to see it.

I'm still try do figure out how you made the latern light effects... did you use a high quality masked skin on an invisible staticmesh and layerd it over the latern mesh with a bright light inside to cast shadows from the masked skin?????
