I took some screenshots of the new rockfaces at Bluff Eversmoking and Dasa passage when I was playing at the HyperCoop server. Click the small preview images for a 1600x1200 version.

I uploaded the original S3TC techdemo levels that S3 once bundled with it's Savage3 video cards to my site. It's a file I've been looking for years for.

Thanks to Delacroix from the BeyondUnreal forums I finally got my hands on it. For more info and to dl the demo maps, visit my main page. if you experience any probs with downloading, let me know.

Hello everyone. It's me, Delacroix. Victor Delacroix. THE Lord Delacroix that made the S3TC levels available. I believe it is not fair that I've been introduced here as the only person responsible for releasing the levels. I'm not. I was looking for the levels the same way you all did. I didn't have the Unreal OEM build that contained them. It was made available by another entity of BeyondUnreal forums, whose identity I've been strictly instructed NOT to reveal. However - as you from now on know - The Source uploaded the entire ISO to me, on their own webspace. I was also strictly instructed not to redistribute it, but only to rip the maps. I can also make a special version of UnrealEd publicly available - but it works only on patch 2.19. Am I supposed to do that?

Well not sure if your "supposed" to, but I'm sure it would be appreciated greatly. I myself would like to have a gander at it.  :P

Welcome on the Old Unreal forums :)

I dunno...........

Though i asume the bigger issue there is, not to release an Installable Unreal, parts of it like the editor may be a different thing, since you still need a full Unreal to be able to run it. This is also the reason why we are allowed to offer the S3TC textures, they only are parts and not the complete game.

But do you mean an Editor that can handle and import full S3TC textures ?

Cause that could be very interesting for mappers who want to make S3TC textures themselves!

Well, I don't know it's features. Haven't tested it. Lestat made some levels using it if I recall correctly - he states that in some maps' readmes. I will post it soon.

Excuse me, another question. A buddy of mine, RNLP is trying to open these levels in UT's UnrealEd. He gets a crash. isa it the textures' fault?

I doubt it would be the textures, but the best way to see whats wrong is to look in the log file after the crash. It's probably due to missing files. You could export the map in unreal ed as a t3d and import into Ut ed to. When doing this method any missing files simply are not added. You don't need to load any files in the ED for this to work either but I would recomend loading all files so wen you rebuild they will be added to the map.

There are no missing files - the only ones were Unreal's umx'es. S3TC Demo uses Chizra, utend and Isotoxin. I uploaded all three to RNLP. He's still crashing. I haven't tried that myself as I am no mapper here....

Which maps are they exactly. I think I downloaded the maps you are talking about but I'm not 100% sure. I have installed several maps in UT from the 98 demo and the SE extracted maps. I was able to load all of them in UT ED just fine. So either there are missing files or I don't have the right maps. See if you can get a log file to post as well.
