Hi all. I'm working on a new map for Unreal and I seem to have some problems with texturing. The brush in the first image has two faces. This makes texturing a pain. Aligning both faces isn't working out too well.
Is there a way to merge those faces like the brush in Deck 16 as seen in the second screenshot?

It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Re: Merge faces from brush
Hey there and welcome to OldUnreal.com
If you are using Unreal ED 2.1 just:
- select both surfaces
- right click on the selected surfaces
- Align Selected -> Align to wall around X axis ( or ) Align to wall around Y axis
That make your surface align perfect.
after this you can right click on the subtracted brush, go to Polygons and Merge.
This melts both faces to one face.

Re: Merge faces from brush
Thank you and thanks for the info. The aligning worked perfectly
When I wanted to merge the faces nothing happened though...

I forgot to say you have to rebuild the geometry.
After this both surfaces will merge together.
