USD Demo or something like that usage

Post by Dozey »

Is there someone who knows how to use USD package that appear at the end of rtnp? I haven't found any documentations, but it should be cause much of actors are not described, only this message -This actor has been heavily expanded for more info read documentation. I need someone who will explain me this "movie-cutscene" package.

That's UDSDemo, UDS stands for "Unreal Director's Suite". You need to make a map with the CSMovie gametype and then add some actors from the UDSDemo package, though I never tried it.

The Editor doesn't show all actors that belong to a certain package, now does it.

And it's UDS, not USD.

I found the other post, i couldnt find it before becuase of the misspelling,
unfortinitly it not helpful either , it only explains interpretation sequences.

perhaps captain Clark worked out how to do it ?
acording to him , he has already finished 2 cut scenes.

There is some documentation in the beta release package: uds3beta.zip

Some comments in a thread at UnrealSP.org might be useful?

If the docs turn out to apply, perhaps they could be included in a 227 release?

Only just noticed this topic.

I kinda got them to work, it was just my problem with sounds, attach movers, and stopping the camera from endlessly rotating that was holding me back.

I'll try to make some kind of tutorial as to how to use that stuff. ;)
