PROS
- very cool castle layout
- excellent texture selection
CONS
- one half more symmetrical than the other
(this is a small complaint only accented because of the structural sophistication of the other half )
- may be my machine but the stars, contrary to my expectations, don't hold still
(I could find no reason why the skybox was doing this[?] --- needs fixed)
- would like to have seen some wall accents, torches, flags ...
(i.e. see DmdEthBecome'sHer by Daddog)* no music (personal caveat)
COMMENTS
Excellent example of how symmetry can be utilized without it being a hindrance to the game play. Some areas allow the player to get into the flow of the structure until the place feels real. Well thought out placement of walkways; cool in design and functionally account for the restrictions imposed on an Unreal game character. It is only the lack of appropriate appointments; wall hangings, statues, torches, flags, colored lighting, secret passages_(my favorite castle caveat) that keep this map from being *extraordinary*. It has a feel like it is 88% finished and so close to super-cool as to warrant a rewrite. "fusion" dress this map up, give it a dungeon, crumple that symmetric end as craftily as you did the other and it can go to the “top-of-the-list” category. d:-)
